Krishna - My Daughter

I come from a multi-faith back ground and have experienced many conflicts because of this. So much so, there were times I found it very easy to claim being an atheist that having to choose between my faiths (parents). No one ever seemed to be bothered about my beliefs and my needs. In the midst of such turmoil there was one deity for whom I had a strong affinity. Because of my rebellion I was never a person to read any religious text, but I did get my fair share by ready fictions books that were based on mythology. And when I did read these books I have conversed with this deity as a friend, a mentor, my saviour.

I have always wondered why this person was so loved and revered by so many people world-wide. I got my answer two days ago. I had dressed up my daughter as Little Krishna and my heart swelled with love for her. I didn’t know I could love her more than I already did, but here she was dressed as Krishna, my child.

I identify with many Gods from different faiths, but he is one God we are able to see not as just a child, but as my SON/DAUGHTER and that’s when love overflows. Jai Sri Krishna!!! #Krishna #Love #Daughter
